Career Researcher Prize
We are delighted to announce the launch of the Early Career Researcher Prize awarded by the IAIS Executive Committee. The Prize is open to students or young researchers working in the field of inflammation and will be awarded to the most outstanding original abstract submitted for Congress. The ECR prize aims to increase the visibility of the work of early-career researchers in inflammation as well as to support their career development. The prizes will be awarded WCI2022 and the recipient will receive a prize of € 500 funded by the IAIS Committee. Applicants must be currently enrolled in a PhD or Master’s program OR have completed their PhD in the current or previous year.
Woman in Inflammation Science Award
The Woman in Inflammation Science award will be presented to a female individual who has made important contributions to the progress of Science in Inflammation
Lifetime Achievement in Inflammation
Inflammation research lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to a scientist or clinician scientist with international recognition for seminal contributions to inflammation

Welcome Message of the Steering Committee
The 15th World Congress on Inflammation (WCI2022) will be in Rome for the first time in 2022. The Congress will bring together researchers, clinicians, industry representatives, advocacy groups, and decision-makers across the field of inflammation.
WCI2022 will include latest developments in basic, translational and clinical research on inflammation, including cell biology, signalling, genetic, inflammatory/autoimmune diseases, new biomarkers and new therapeutics approaches for human diseases.
The biennial WCI Congress, that will bring together a number of Scientific Societies within the International Association of Inflammation Societies and others Scientific Societies who attend the Congress, will represent a key opportunity to share knowledge across borders and professional disciplines as we work towards a common goal of improving the understanding and therapeutic control of inflammatory diseases.
The congress will enhance the international community’s knowledge base and will provide new opportunities for international collaboration.

The World Congress of Inflammation 2022 (WCI- 2022) to be held in Rome, Italy, from June 5th to 8th 2022 promises to be an unforgettable event that will bring together delegates from all over the world with a common interest: inflammation research and treatment of inflammationrelated diseases. The congress co-organized by the International Association of Inflammation Societies (IAIS) and the Italian Society of Pharmacology (SIF) will gather international leaders at the forefront of inflammation research, presenting the most recent advances in both basic science and clinical translation.
Considerable advances have been made in our comprehension of inflammation-related diseases, and recent scientific breakthroughs have paved the way to novel therapeutic approaches. This congress will provide a unique opportunity for networking, educational and scientific exchanges for government, academic, clinical, industry, or health care professionals. We value and encourage the active participation and contribution of all professionals interested in inflammation. Attending the conference will also provide the delegates with a unique opportunity to enjoy eternal and magnificent Rome, during one of the most pleasant season.
